Located near Hangzhou’s famed West Lake, the project takes inspiration from Ming Dynasty gardens and fuses them with a contemporary design aesthetic. The result is an elegantly refined series of dining rooms decorated with silk panels and gold-leaf surfaces, arranged around a central courtyard garden complete with a lotus pond, terraced steps, tea drinking area, and a century-old camphor tree. 

Boldly illuminated bamboo screens, lotus flowers, and ceramics within the dining areas provide abundant visual appeal in an atmosphere evocative of a modern version of traditional sophistication. For more information, please see the Press Kit.
